Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Pues sí, tras varios días intentando hacer funcionar bien el juego al fin lo he conseguido. No suelo usar el blog para estas cosas, pero creo merece la pena compartir esta sabiduría con la gente por si se encuentra con el mismo problema.

Mi tarjeta es una ATI Mobility Radeon X1400, que en teoría está por debajo de los requisitos mínimos. El caso es que instalé el juego y las letras de los menús y del juego se veían borrosas, eran como cuadrados pixelados. Navegando a ciegas por los menús conseguí jugar y el juego en sí, funcionaba sin problemas.
Tras mucho buscar en foros, instalar distintos drivers y reiniciar infinitamente mi ordenador al final conseguí ver todos los menús y jugar perfectamente. Os pongo la solución que yo encontré que vale para mi tarjeta gráfica x1400 y también para x1600. No sé si para el resto valdrá. La solución está en inglés pero se entiende bastante bien:

Download this Drivers/Application:

WINDOWS 7

WINDOWS XP
-> http://www.filehippo.com/download_ati_catalyst_xp/5389/ (if you dont want to click here go look for it at ati site (driver version 9.3 xp)).

Application to Mod the driver so the system accepts it

1. Disconnect from internet so windows dosen't automatically installs a driver itself;
2. Go to Add/remove programs and uninstall Catalyst Control Center;
3. Go to Device Manager and Uninstall your Graphics Card (put the mark where it says to remove all of the software);
4. Reboot your Laptop.
5. Install MobilityModder (Follow instructions on Mobbility Modder Website if you dont know how to use it)
6. Run the driver file and let it extract to C:\Ati\support\9-3_vista32_win7_32_dd\, after it extracts close the New Installation window.
7. Open MobilityModder and browse to the folder where it extracted the driver i supposed its C:\Ati\support\9-3_vista32_win7_32_dd\ .
8. Click Modify;
9. After its done, close MobilityModder and go to C:\Ati\support\9-3_vista32_win7_32_dd\ and click setup;
10. Let it install and if it says that the driver is not verified click on install it anyway.
11. Reboot again and be amazed, at least i was!
    

En negrita he resaltado los dos ficheros que se necesitan fundamentalmente.

• Uno es el driver versión "9-3_vista32_win7_32_xp_32_dd". Dependiendo del Sistema Operativo tendra un nombre u otro. Yo tengo el XP y lo descargue de este link
  
• Y por otro lado MobilityModder, que es un software que modifica dicho driver. Que yo descargue de este link

En resumen tienes que descargarte estos 2 ficheros y seguir los 11 pasos.
